Age Restrictions
5K participants 8 years and older. Younger participants are welcome if accompanied by a parent or guardian. The Speak Squad Kids 1K Fun Run is open to children ages 2–12.

We plan well in advance — ordering supplies, coordinating logistics, and caring for hundreds of participants. That means we incur costs early. Here's how we handle changes to your entry.
Deferral
Defer your entry to the following year's race, subject to timing of your cancellation.
Transfer
Transfer your entry to another participant, when possible, subject to timing of your request.

Refund available on entry fees based on timing of cancellation. Note: processing fees cannot be refunded.

Frequently Asked Questions
We offer a chip-timed 5K race for adults and youth, plus a Speak Squad Kids 1K Fun Run for children ages 2-12. The Speak Squad Kids 1K is not timed -- every participant receives a finisher medal.
There are two races on June 21. The Speak Squad Kids 1K Fun Run starts at 8:00 AM. The 5K Race starts at 8:30 AM. We recommend arriving by 7:00 AM if you are running the 5K — and no later than 7:45 AM if you are running the Kids 1K — to allow time for parking, bib pickup, and warm-up. Race kit pickup (bib + timing chip) is on Saturday before race day — do not leave it until Sunday morning.
Yes! The course is entirely flat, smooth, and paved along the Bronte Harbour waterfront. It is fully stroller-friendly and accessible for runners of all abilities.
Registration fees are non-refundable. However, transfers to another participant are available up until June 14, 2026. Transfer requests can be made through your Race Roster account or by contacting us at greg@tapegeeks.com.
Free limited parking is available at Bronte Heritage Waterfront Park, a short walk from the start/finish area. All street parking in the surrounding Bronte neighbourhood is free on Sundays — arrive by 7:00 AM for best availability. Please do not park in private lots such as commercial plazas or the Farm Boy grocery parking area. Additional parking locations will be shared closer to race day. The Bronte GO Station is approximately 1.5 km from the start.

The Bronte Runners Club — nearly 700 members — runs Wednesday evenings and weekends on the same waterfront you'll race on June 21st. Free to join. All paces welcome.
